The evolution of Honahlee logowear is interesting. In 1995, the staff at Honahlee wore black Mountain Hardware vests, embroidered with the Honahlee logo during short courses. At one short course, there was 1 extra vest available for the ever popular final day raffle. It proved to be, by far, the most popular raffle item.....to the extent that unwinning course participants offered to purchase the vests off of the backs of staff members.

Realizing their popularity, the following year, all short course participants received their own Mountain Hardware vest with the Honahlee logo. Still, participants wished to acquire additional vests for family, friends, coworkers, etc. Hence, a formal relationship between Mountain Hardware and Honahlee was formed. Mountain Hardware, of course, is an internationally recognized company, owned by Columbia Sportswear, specializing in top end outdoor wear and products. Due to the blustery weather of the Northwest as well as the physical nature of a life around horses, many horsemen and women sought outerwear constructed with the integrity, protection, and comfort (not to mention style) found in Mountain Hardware products. And, although the officers of Honahlee PC never had any intention of entering into the retail clothing business, enter it they did, to a very limited extent. At first, the vests, pullovers and jackets were available only in black and sold exclusively through tack stores but now products in several colors are available through this Web site as well.
